Yup bought this this afternoon :P Am very happy that i got it finally. Too bad that i will be busy with CNY (Chinese New Year) preparation and thus wont have time to scrap. Luckily that i will be on leave for 3 days after cny. Yeah! hope to produce something with sewing soon ;)

Participated in a ATC (Artist Trading Card) swap recently. This is the 1st time that im doing it. When i browse thru the web for example, i were afraid that i should not have joined it. kekekek cos im not the artsy type. But nevertheless, since i joined it i just try my best and hope the rest like the cards i do.

QK Revolution Mini Album

Front & Back cover are made up of thin cardboard. And ive covered it with pp and cs

Inner of cover & page 1. The very light numbers is the Catslife stamp that i just bought. i stamp with Watermark ink then i outline the no. with watercolour pencil.

Center pages. Used 3 different water colour pencil to colour the yellow cardstock.

Last page and inner of back cover. Again the number stamp with watermark ink and outline with colour pencil.

Back Cover. The heart is from fontwerks, One size fits all is Basic Grey rub on and Made with love is 7G stickers.

Did this CT project for The Scrappers Loft using only BG Fruitcake and Dasher collection pp.

Patterned Paper:
BG Fruitcake Collection: Holly Berries/Spearmint, Vintage Ornaments/Pine, Gingerbread/ Orange Peel
BG Dasher Collection: Snowfall Pear, Snowfall Cranberry

Embellishments:
1. Bells
2. Ornaments cut out from BG Fruitcake-Vintage Ornaments/Pine
3. Hand made Star - cut out a star from CS and covered with a layer of Ranger Icicle Stickles

Tree:

1. Trace 2 Christmas trees on chipboard and cut them out.
2. Slit in the middle of the bottom half of one and top half of the other.

3. Paste PP/CS on both sides of the 2 chipboard trees.
4. Put the tree together by sliding the tree on top of each other (remember the slit you cut earlier?)
5. Decorate the tree with embellishment

Snoopy House

Was very inspired by Claudia's altered tin that i have to do one as well :) Therefore i went back to MWL to get this what most call "Snoopy House"

I used SEI Winnie Walls paper that i liked very much. However, it was too thick for this tin and thus affected the way it can be opened or closed. Guess lesson learnt is to use thinner paper :D

Effer Last Scrapper Standing challenge #3

Ohh this is even tougher than the previous challenge. Everything has to be circles. Not one expected line one expected line shall be found amongst any piece of paper that has anything to do with our layout.

Went to Melacca during the weekend and have been thinking of it. Drafted a few on my idea book but the end product end up so different from my sketch :P

Here's everything in circles. The background pp, the flower petals, the photos, the title, the journaling. :D
Used micro beads on the photos. Im into micro beads lately. luv luv the effect. :)

Initially have wanted to used flowers that ive punched out using my whale floral punch but so worried that i may get disqualified so i did the mini flowers with circles again.

I've used lil davis bottle cap alpha + kck alpha brads. Finally get to used the bottle caps. Luv it and bu se te use till now. I've managed to use my 7gypsies wax stamp too. So so cool :)

I were very lucky that i got into the 2nd round for the Last Scrappers Standing challenge. However, im stucked with the 2nd challenge, which is to scrap with exactly 13photos. no more no less. This is really tough. I have scrapped multiple photos before not it was free play, up to me to decide the no of photos. With this challenge its really tough to be restricted :)

Nevertheless, i tried my best to do it. Not satisfied as i felt that something is missing but dono wat. Maybe im too tired. Maybe i'll see some light tomorrow. Nevertheless, this is the output today:

My girl

Did this for the Last Scrapper Standing #1 challenge from for the love of effers. The challenge is to journal on the photo itself came out on SG Sat am and to submit by sg Thurs morning. Started this in Msia since i went back and completed it in Sg. :) I quite please with this LO using the MOD paper that i bought from Brenda :) Was pretty surprised that the mix with Daisy D was perfect. Let's hope this lo will bring me luck and keep me in the challenge :)

Attended a last min virtual crop on National Day eve. Again i were too slow to meet the dateline for challenge 1 so instead combine Challenge 1 and 2 :) Challenge one was to do a LO with 3pp, a journaling stripe and a chipboard accent. Challenge 2 is to do an lo with 4 different alpha. I went overboard with the no. of pp and ended up with 15 different pp. All from my stash :P

Garden Trellis

Attended the Garden Trellis class at MWL. This class was conducted by Jasmine, TSL forum owner. When i first saw her class sample, i already decided to sign up for the class. Since my first alter item, cheeseboard, i fell in love with altered item. It does takes up lots of time and effort but i love the final result of it. At least for the last 2 cheeseboard that i did and the Garden trellis, i were not disappointed. :)

Since i knocked off pretty late, i were late for class. And im a super duper slow scrapper thus it was pretty expected that i were unable to finish it on time. But it was good that i finished it at home cos i get to looked through what i have and used them for this trellis.

So here is my finish product after much time and effort spent:

Couple of weeks ago, Elvira from MWL asked me if its ok for them to feature my LO in their advert at Mumcentre. Im totally flattered that they have chosen my LO. Of course i said "Yes" to her. :)

ABC album continues

Had another virtual crop session last night till 1plus am. There were 2 challenges.

1st was to scrap using cs/pp of 3 different brands. Again a simple LO after very long

Since i need to complete my B, C & D for Sarah's ABC album, i took this opportunity to kill 2 birds with one stone.

For this first challenge, i did for B for ballons. Sarah loves balloons like any other kids. When i took this pict, she was grabing on to her balloon tightly as it was pretty windy. You can tell from her stressful eyes that she didnt like the wind then :)

For the 2nd challenge, we were to use a prdt brought 6mths ago, a pdt newly bought plust scraplifting Brenda Mae's Lo in twopeas.

I scrap D=demure for this challenge.

The LO that i have posted on M4M was without the journaling on the right. I just added them tonight as i find it very plain. :)

Hopefully it has made the lo better and not so plain :)

As for 'C', i am using a past LO that i did. This is it:

ABC album

Has wanted to do a ABC album after completing the 'C' lo last month. However, did not get to do it. But last week, i have completed the A too. :) That is becos Sri has put up a challenge for us to complete 2 LO per week. Hopefully with this challenge i will be able to complete it in no time :)

I love the new Chatterbox pp and thus i have bought many of its range. However, i have not really use it. Therefore, i decided to use it for this lo. And it was also very matching to Sarah's dress. :)

Virtual Crop at M4M

Last night, Michelle has organised a virtual crop at M4m. It started at 9pm and lasted till after 1am. :)

Hubby has dinner and Sarah went out with my mum. It was perfect scrapping time for me. but the broadband was super slow last night. Think its worst than dial up. I were unable to surf the net, can only chat at yahoo. the 1st challenge was releasted at 9pm and luckily i managed to read the clue. kekek wierd isnt it. only this page i were able to see.

The 1st challenge was to scrap a LO using the specified material. As usual i were taking my own sweet time to do my LO since we have up to 12midnight. While scrapping we were all chatting via Yahoo too. :) It was only after Marr reminded me that its reaching 12midnight that i started to buck up kekekek

I were not very happy with this LO. Especially when i cannot find a good pen to write my journals. Nevertheless im not redoing this one.

At 10pm, Challenge #2, 3 & 4 were released. We were supposed to do at least 2 Los out of these clues. Since i submitted my 1st Lo at almost 12midnight, i have only 1 hr to complete these 2 LOs. Therefore you can expect a crap Los from me for this 2:

Really dont like these 2 so i had to redo them. After the crop session, i stayed up to redo the 1st one. Couldnt finish even at 6am. Had to con't when i woke up at 12noon and this is the completed redo: )

kekeke im really crazy into this SB hobby. So crazy that i joined TSL in thier overnight crop session at MWL on last friday. Furthermore, i have a one day Johor tour the next day. Ppl not into Sb will be thinking that im crazy :D

But again, i really enjoyed myself very much that night. Although i didn't managed to finish my lo, I enjoyed cropping together with all who has the same hobbies as me and enjoy making new friends. :)

And who else but my scrapping buddy who will be as crazy as me :D. She joined me in the crop session too. And soo jen was there too.
Mar and my loving hubby took over the nanny job and thus allowing this 2 mummies to enjoyed their hobbies to the fullest. Hubby wan siu!!! :P

Beside the cropping, we shopped too. And no ans for guessing it right that we did burnt a big hole in our pocket :P Esp me cos i bought another tool.

I bought the Croc a dile from We r memory keepers. :P Have not tried it since has not did any lo but i know i'll love it after seeing Kelly demonstrating it.

I were deciding betw this and Heidi Grace album and my dear mar helped me to decide. hee thanks to her else i'll have to tie our more hair kekeke

Mother's Day LO

There are so many challenges going on at M4M. Despite been dropped out from AR, im still busy with other challenges. :)

The latest, which i submitted only at 5+am today, was to do a LO on being a mother, what you love and what keep you going.

I were thinking of doing a collage for this challenge. But my mind was blank till i saw a MickeyMouse t-shirt of Sarah's. There was a Hearts on it. So, tink tink, i decided to have a heart shape on my LO plus plenty of photos. :)

In total i have abt 70 mini photos in the LO. hee this must be one LO that has the most no of photos :)

Went out with my 2 scrapping buddies and their families to karaoke today. Its been sometime since we went singing. It was very fun as both adults and kids enjoyed ourselves very much.

After karaoke we went for dinner followed by SB shopping :D Big damage as usual. Bought lots of Heidi Grace rubon, chip board, pp and letter pin. And im very happy cos hubby bought the MM tag maker for me as Mother's day present :)

My brother registered his marriage with Joey in Mar. I took some picture as wanted to do something for them. Initially wanted to do a mini album for them but later found out someone has did so. Luckily i attended the TSL cheeseboard class on National Scrapbook Day at Laines :) which i did this for the lesson:

I love this altered cheeseboard idea. Very creative and unique :)

So i decided to do one for my brother. And here it is:

The pict on the right is the final result of long hours of hardwork. I tied the board with a blue ribbon and gave them on the same day. But guess wat, i took back the blue ribbon so that i can reuse kekekke

Clue #12: Pit Stop clue

White Space ChallengeA clean and simple LO with tons of white spaces are hard to do. Every element is important. Having a great photo is definately one of them.I challenge you to do a simple LO with tons of white spaces.

Remember..white space doesn't have to be white. The LOs that you do, I do want to see the "white spaces". Make every element count. And most importantly, create the LOs with your own "stamp"/"personality". Please email me the LO that you scraplift/inspired by and post the ones you do.

This is what i have submitted:
i received this big flower from Sarah for Mother's day gift. :) And she sang me a lovely song too. "Mommy , Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, I love you." Very simple but very touching. :)

So i have to scrap using it. Therefore, use it instead of photo for this lo. However, im not satisfied with it at all. i should journal abt the song and abt this being from sarah. May need ot redo this.

Clue #13: Trends
Trends challengeIn scrapbooking, it's all about trends.. what's in and what's out. Right now, the current trends are using notebook paper and using stars on LOs.

This is a road block and i have submitted my name for this :)

Were given the clue at 9am but i woke up after 10am. And its bcos hubby went out to play tennis and i have to wake up to wait for Sarah to come back (she stayed overnight at her god parent's place). Else i'll probably woke up in the afternoon since i slept at 6+am :P

Therefore i have to rushed out a simple LO for this clue cos we are very late.

White space is not my style. Not that i have any style but creating a lo with plenty of white space is quite tough cos i have the urged to put more stuff on it. :P

But i like this lo that i did for this clue. Maybe i'll try a few more to see how it goes. :)

Btw, Jo and I were eliminated in this round. Yes, sad to say that we were the last team that posted the above lo. We, teh 2 blue queen were unaware that this was the elimination round and i take my time and didnt wake up early for the clue.

Nevertheless, we enjoyed the game and also sort of happy we were eliminated. I mean its a matter of time. My workshop will start again on Monday and this is having workshop from 9am to 7pm. After workshop there will be paper work and email follow up. To rush back by 9pm can be tough. Thus the timing is good since we have enjoyed 14clues, tried scraplifting different style of LO, jump out of the box to do simple LO and it has really speed up our speed in completing one LO :)

Though eliminated we will still cont to cheer the rest up. :)

Clue #10: Road Block/Time Sensitive/Fast Forward
This is an altered item Road Block. You have to alter a piece of CLOTHING! LOL... Take an old piece of clothing that you do not want to use anymore and alter it using scrapbook products. You can use ribbons, buttons, papers, stitching etc. What you cannot use is FABRICS. No FAbrics are allowed except for ribbons. And you need to use at least 5 DIFFERENT products.
> > Example of pieces of clothing:> > Old Jeans> Old T-shirts> Your child clothes etc.

TIME SENSITIVE: You can only post your creation AFTER noon tomorrow.

My turn to do the road block. When i first received the clue, i were stump and had no idea wat to do. So i went to search through Sarah's cupboard for old clothings and came up with this short sleeves t-shirt:

Decided to do a super simple alter item as i seriously need a break and have plenty of doc to review. So this is what i did:

Initially thought that it looked quite ok. But when i see the submission by other team, i dare not show case it :P

Btw, we did not managed to be the 1st 2 to submit so we went on to clue #11.

Clue #11: All Play

ALL PLAY!!!What's all play?? All play means that both partners must create a LO each. Swap photos with each other and SCRAPLIFT a LO from your partner's work. Then, post both the original LO and scraplifted LOs in the forum. Remember, you need to swap your photos too.

Me and Jo decided to do a digital lo for this. She will scrapped using Sarah's photo while i'll do using Glenda's photos.

She managed to complete hers before me and went ahead to submit.

Blur me missed out the part of the clue on scraplift and had spend some time doing the following:

I were playing with Photoshop, trying to create a tearing effect on the pp. Was quite successful with the bottome one but not the above.

Luckily i saw Jo's post and quickly rush out a scraplift of one the LO she submitted for AR:

The clue was released when we were at work so i have to curb my urge to scrap. Although i were on have day leave, it was to go for show with hubby. Therefore, i reached home after 7. Rushed out this LO to submit just before 9pm.

Phew! I did made it and managed to get the clue at 9pm same day. :)

Clue #9
Almost every scrapper will have BLACK cardstocks, Ribbons and patterned papers in their stash. This is the basic. Scrapbooking is ever changing and full of trends. The current being buttons.
Do a LO with the following items... Black cardstock, ribbons, patterned papers and buttons.
Other items can be used too but these 4 items must be included in your LO.
And oh, you have to scraplift one of Elsie Flannigan's LO too.

Joanne did a speedy LO for this challenge. As i found out that for team who can rushed out this clue by 11pm will be given clue #10. Therefore, i quickly called Jo and hurried her to do the LO. Felt guilty for chasing her to complete the LO in less than an hours time. :P

Oh i have been neglecting this blog. Reason been i have been busy with the Amazing Race organised by Sri :)

As of today, 12 May, 13 clues have been given out. My taem, me and Jo are still waiting for clue 12 that will reached us by 9am in the morning. As i will be out, i hope i can catch it on time :)

So following are my teams submission for this race:

Clue #1: Fast Forward
To have a LO that contain the whole or part of a song, With My Own Two Hands, by Ben Harper.
I must say that i were very lucky to be the 1st to submit the LO and thus my team went straight to the pit stop.

Normally, i dont wake up early on a holiday morning. I can sleep past noon if circumstances permit. However, on 1st May, i woke up early as we have ferry to catch.

As i went Batam bet 1st and 3rd May i were very worried that Jo may be overwhelmed by the AR. Therefore, i took a dash and completed this digital LO in record time. REally record cos i have never been so fast even if its digital. I can still remember when i first started in oct'05 i need 2 nights to complete 1 digital LO. :) *a pat on my back for this* But seems like this was the only time that im fast :D

Anyway, Joanne actually saw the clue before me and were completing her LO. But since i completed slightly way before her. I went ahead to post.

Clue #2: Detour
Do just 1 Lo of the following combo.
1. Do a blue/green color combo.
2. Do a black/yellow color combo

We need not do this one since our team were already at the pit stop :) But all the LO generated for this were awesome.

Clue #3: Photo Challenge
Not too sure what were the clue for this as we skipped this too.

Clue #4: Yield Ahead
Since Mother' day is around the corner, do a Mother's day theme. ;)
- Do a LO telling us 5 advices you want to pass to your kids. Something you want your child to read and reflect on.
- It has to be a 2 page LO. ;) And one page has flow to the other page.

Jo submitted an awesome lo for this.

Clue #5 - Time Sensitive
Saturday is National Scrapbooking Day. To celebrate that day, please do a LO on why you love to scrapbook. This is a time sensive challenge... meaning you have to post your LO on Saturday anytime AFTER 12 noon. Teams who post their LOs before the scheduled time will have a 2 day penalty.

It was my turn to submit. As i can't find any relevant photo, i decided to scrap without one. Pretty challenging for myself.

This is a hybrid LO. The title "5reasons I love to Scrapbook" was digitally done and printed on transparency. And the rest were non-digital.

I bought a couple of stamps from Presence and were happy that i got to used it on this lo. At least money not down the drain :)

Finally, managed to finished April challenge. Phew!

This last challenge is the trend challenge.
"Are you able to translate what you see around you into a great scrapbook page? Find inspiration in a non-scrapbooking industry (i.e., fashion, home dec, advertising, etc.) and translate that inspiration to a page. Be sure to include a visual example of where you got your inspiration. "

Have been thinking abt this but cannot decide on which to do. And finally i decided to use this Metro advert:

When i first saw it at Paragon, i were thinking scraplifting the colour. But then the lazy me resorted to lifting the placement. hee so here is my humble LO:

Since the prominent colour is the red t-shirt that my hubby wore, i decided to use the Wild Asparagus Paper that i have.

But i only have 2 pieces and i have no red cs so i took very long placing the pp and photos around. In the end i decided to used the horizontal stripes pp as the base.

As for the title, i traced Heidi Swappe and We r Memories keepers chipboard. The work "girl" is heidi swappe iron on :)

One thing that i dont like abt this LO is the B&W photos. Felt that its not prominent enuff to be the focal photo. Maybe i shd have a bigger pict? hmmm nevertheless, no point thinking abt it anymore as everything has been sticked down.

Hubby finally coming back tomorrow morning. Will be showing him this LO. Hope he will like it :)

Challenging Week

Without hubby around, this week has been extremely stressful for me. Work is super demanding plus i will be on leave on next tues and wed, it is crazy that i have to rushed home daily so that Sarah will not missed her bed time. Brought work home everyday but really challenging and need great determination to get work done at home. Esp when i have the Internet access and scrapbook stuff starring at me in my study room.

Every morning i need to make sure i wakes up on time and not overslept. Challenging as i always rely on hubby to wake me up. Even more challenging to wake Sarah up, get her wash up and change and have her to eat her breakfast. Have to resort to time out to get her ready on time and not miss the school bus.

I will going away for a short trip on next Monday. Have not list out the stuff to bring or buy. Guess i will have to leave such stuff till the weekend. But without hubby that will mean bringing Sarah out myself and buying stuff. urrggg another challenging task.

oh pray hard that this week will pass smoothly with not too much hiccups!!! oooh cant wait for weekend to come!!!

Hubby left for China this morning. He will be there for one week. One week is so long. Therefore, i rushed out a 8x8 LO for him to bring along.

Didnt get to see wat was his expression this morning but he has msg me that he likes it. :)

Feeling very sad after reading my (h)EvanGabriel blog. Evan is my ex-colleague, Frances's son. However, my ex-colleague is not there for him anymore. 2wks ago, i heard a sad news that she has passed away during labour. :( Indeed its very sad. Although we werent close i still feel very sad and unacceptable to the fact that she has passed away during labour.

It like its something not possible to happened today and yet it happened to someone you know. :( Heard from colleagues that she had a heart attack and siezure during the cesarean. And when the water bag burst, the water flow backward into her lung and thus she died due to suffocation. :(

I went to attend her wake but didnt get to talked to her husband becos we dont know him. On last friday, my colleague passed us his blog that he maintain to track Evan's development. I were so happy to see him growing well but also sad when i read abt Collin's sadness abt her departure.

It is really heartbreaking to read his post on the sadness he is going through. Was unable to hold back my tears reading it. But he is brave and i believed that Evan will grow up to be a happy baby despite loosing his mummy. God bless Evan and God bless Collin.

M4M - Earth Challenge

22nd April is Earth Day so this month we had an Earth challenge. Sri has challenged us to submit an LO using just fabric. The only paper allowed is the cs or pp used for the base. Here is the LO i did for this challenge:

The cloth used were all raked by Jess and Sheemah. Must thank them. Esp Jess. She not only wanted to rak me but even took the trouble to take pic of the cloths she has so that i can choose. She is just so nice :)

In my initial design, the oganza ribbon was not there. But i had dirtied it accidentally so have to cover it with something. :)

Hiaz and once again i have made a spelling blunder. Left out 'r' in Capricorn. Told mar that having spelling mistake is really my trademark!!!

hmm with this done i have one more to go before completing the april challenge. yeah!

*edit: Forgot to mentioned that this is my 1st A4 paper LO :) fun to do but need time to get used to it. With my usual 12x12 i have so much space to play with. ;)

Crop Session @ Joanne's Place

Yup! Im still up at this hour. Has spent the past hours trying to add contacts and LOs to my blog. Hee... still learning how to use blog spot. So used to Livejournal for Sarah's blog that i really need sometime to study how to get it done up nicely. :)

Alright need to pack my SB bag first before going to bed. Me, Mar, Jess will be going to Jo's place for our regular crop session. I have not started on my Earth challenge. Hopefully i can get it done at Jo's place.

My Darling Daughter, Sarah

1. She is petite. Only abt 12kg, 92cm tall at 39mths old.

2. She is chatty. She talked alot since she was a baby. When she was just a few mths old, a friend who sat beside her couldnt stand her noise that she told her to "Keep Quiet" :D

3. She is vain. She is REALLY vain. She can't help looking at herself whenever there is a mirror. When we brought her to get her ears pierced, what we need is just a mirror to stop her crying. *faint*

4. She is emotional. Very emotional. At times when she was left alone in the car, her mind will seems to run wild and may cry suddenly. And she will tell you that she mises Por Por.

5. She is lovable. Everyone who met her likes her. All my mum's kakee, all the neighbours, all my friends. When she was young she has "sweet" mouth and greet everyone she met. But now shes more reserved and stopped greeting people.

Ok since this blog is very new so dont think i can tag anyone. so "sui yi" ok? :)

** ai yo can you imagine i took hours to complete this tag? I fell asleep with my lap top on my lap when i tried putting Sarah to bed. Luckily i didnt dropped the laptop on the floor. Hiaz! Tat's how tired i amd :P**
